Formed in 1923, Esher Rugby is Surrey's most successful rugby club. The 1st XV currently plays semi-professional rugby in National League 1. The club also supports a further 5 senior competitive and social sides, plus youth rugby for boys and girls, aged 6 to 18. Esher Rugby boasts a growing membership in excess of 1,000, with season ticket sales increasing significantly in recent times. The clubhouse is situated within 23 acres of freehold land and has excellent amenities for players, spectators and corporate guests, with dining facilities for up to 200, whilst the ground contains two seated stands with a combined capacity of 2,500. The club is led by a formidable management team which includes Chairman of Rugby and BBC Sports presenter, John Inverdale and Executive Director and former England international, Simon Halliday. Throughout the club, Esher’s ideals reflect the RFU’s core values of Rugby, Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship. And recent market research has overwhelmingly shown that the club comes across as being warm and friendly, providing good quality rugby for all. Whilst we are ambitious, we also have a strong family ethos, derived from a commitment to youth rugby for all age groups. Furthermore, the club continues to develop strong links with local charities, such as the Shooting Star Chase, which offers family-centred care for children with life threatening or terminal illnesses. Equally as important is the work that the club does within the local community, with coaches working in local schools such as Feltonfleet, St George’s and Esher High and more recently, the club has teamed up with Philips to deliver the Simply Healthy @ Schools project, a corporate social responsibility programme which helps young children better understand the lifestyle choices that they make.

The Brewery Tap opened in 1998 and is located within the transformed old labour exchange in Westgate, Peterborough. The pub houses a multi award winning micro-brewery called Oakham Ales, claiming to make it the largest brewpub in Europe. Inside its spacious open plan layout, you are likely to find up to 12 real ales, a wide range of draught products and bottled conditioned beers, funky wines, cocktails and a large range of non-alcoholic drinks for drivers. The food available is Thai cuisine freshly prepared and cooked by experienced Thai chefs. The layout of the pub enables customers to relax and watch their food being prepared in the kitchen, through a high level window, before being served to their table. The menu consists of A La Carte, Snacks, Set Menus, and a choice of Buffets (build your own) to cater for all parties, no matter the size. Open from 12 noon everyday and running late nights on Fridays and Saturdays the “Tap” has a reputation for attracting various age groups from near and far satisfying various tastes and thirsts. There is a large dance floor downstairs where you can boogie the night away, or you can sit and relax on one of our many brown leather sofas which make it increasingly difficult to want to leave. The tap was named “OWN BREW PUB 2009? and over the past 10 years has seen many glowing reviews for it’s food, beer, and service from local press and also in national papers and magazines. Henry Wreight was one the town's two main benefactors. He lived and died at 60 Preston Street, just a few doors away from this pub. After his death, in 1840, his bequest was used to provide schools, the recreation ground and almshouses. He was also three times Mayor of Faversham. Throughout its duration Westcoast has assisted in the development of young local promoters, contemporary musicians, performers, technicians, bar and catering staff. At Westcoast we understand the importance of the integral role we play in our community, by being a platform and conduit for potential young entrepreneurs and employees. We ensure they have sufficient real life hands-on experience, thus providing the industry with fully trained, qualified young individuals with all round experience. Chimney Boy - Faversham

The Chimney Boy is one of many old and handsome buildings in the market town of Faversham, situated conveniently close to the railway station. It is a large and spacious building, with plenty of character, and no fewer than three inglenook fireplaces. Indeed the pub takes its name from the largest of these, inside it are the steps the chimney sweep’s boy used to climb; the fireplace is regularly lit with a roaring log fire. The walls and ceilings are decorated with traditional brasses, and bizarrely, with a collection of gazunders! Upstairs there is a large function room with separate bar, used once a week by Faversham Folk Club among others. Naturally, the room is also available for private functions. Outside is a prettily planted courtyard with seating and, usefully for a town centre pub, a car park. The Chimney Boy serves excellent food: traditional fare at lunchtimes and a la carte meals in its restaurant in the evening; and, to entertain, has darts, pool, cards available, and a quiz night once a month.
