Chimney Boy - Faversham

Chimney Boy - Faversham
The Chimney Boy is one of many old and handsome buildings in the market town of Faversham, situated conveniently close to the railway station. It is a large and spacious building, with plenty of character, and no fewer than three inglenook fireplaces.

Indeed the pub takes its name from the largest of these, inside it are the steps the chimney sweep’s boy used to climb; the fireplace is regularly lit with a roaring log fire. The walls and ceilings are decorated with traditional brasses, and bizarrely, with a collection of gazunders!

Upstairs there is a large function room with separate bar, used once a week by Faversham Folk Club among others. Naturally, the room is also available for private functions. Outside is a prettily planted courtyard with seating and, usefully for a town centre pub, a car park.
The Chimney Boy serves excellent food: traditional fare at lunchtimes and a la carte meals in its restaurant in the evening; and, to entertain, has darts, pool, cards available, and a quiz night once a month.
