Over the years, many of the world's finest jazz musicians have taken to our stage including Roy Haynes, Kenny Garrett, Martin Taylor, Scott Hamilton and Mose Allison. With live jazz seven nights a week it is also a showcase for new talent: Norah Jones, Jamie Cullum, Diana Krall, Brad Mehldau, Amy Winehouse, Danilo Perez, Stacey Kent, Avishai Cohen, Acoustic Alchemy, Peter Cincotti, Peter White and Rokia Traoré have all appeared and dazzled audiences. The word “Club” in our name relates to the warm atmosphere and comfortable surroundings, not the entrance policy – you do not need to be a member to visit, though we recommend booking in advance. Once seated you’ll be amazed how close you are, musically and physically (none of the tables are far from the stage), to the performers. Add a state-of-the-art sound system and you can not imagine a better venue in which to appreciate live music.

Trinity shows all major sporting events. If we are not showing an event you would like to see, just ask the bar staff and they will be happy to put it on for you. We have Sky Sports, BT Sport, ESPN and Eurosport. We have two massive high resolution screens and a big screen on the ground floor and a massive big screen on the first floor as well as a 50'' TV, with full stereo surround sound. We don't do food - but you are welcome to bring food in. We do have a free post work/uni buffet every Friday from 5pm. Come pay us a visit - you'll be most welcome.

The décor today has an ethnic feel with walls adorned with masks, relics & pictures many of which Stewart has acquired from his travels abroad to make this pub truly homely & unique. Over the years The Platform has built up a good reputation for its live music bringing some of the best acts from far away lands to local hero’s playing an array of original music with the bulk being Blues & Roots acts. Always free entry & always of the highest quality. We brew our own cask ale on site at The Dancing Man Brewery. We had a idea one day, we wanted to make beers that we liked, and we knew everyone else would like but just weren't being served up in our pub or anywhere else. So we set about creating the Dancing Man Brewery to change all of that. The food produced is of restaurant standard with local produce a priority. The menu is varied from Pub classics to more exotic fare. The Platform has become renowned for its short-crust Desperate Dan style pies, Fresh fish & Sunday lunches.
