Alongside this platform for musicians, we have built a Club where firm friendships have been forged and newcomers are always warmly welcomed - quickly becoming a part of the family at Bexley Jazz Club. Great jazz - played to a knowledgeable yet warm and friendly audience - results in superb entertainment for musicians and jazz lovers alike. Entertainment; that is the keyword at Bexley. With this ethos Bexley Jazz Club will continue to thrive and prosper to the mutual benefit of Musicians and Members. The Kings Head is an ancient Inn dating from the 14th century and stepping inside this listed building is like going back in time - with its large open fireplace and copper pots and jugs hanging from old, blackened ceiling beams. A good selection of real ales, a friendly atmosphere and great jazz make The Kings Head at Bexley a very special venue. There is car parking and also a municipal car park behind the pub.

606 Club - Chelsea
90 Lots Road
South-West, London SW10 0QD
United Kingdom
The Club currently employs 2 bands a night Tuesday to Wednesday and one Band Thursday to Monday, a total of 10 bands a week (plus occasional Sunday lunches), which makes us the biggest employer of British based Jazz (and related Music) artists in the country. With live jazz seven nights a week and Sundays being our special ‘singers’ night every night can be the best night. Fridays and Saturdays it is essential to book in advance. The policy of the Club can be summarised as the desire to present the best British based Jazz available in the most relaxed surroundings possible with the best food we are able to produce, at an affordable price. Our music policy is based around the rich and varied UK Live music scene and as such we rarely employ visiting artists. It is important to stress however that musicians do not have to be British to work at the Club, in my own band the pianist is Italian and singer Brazilian but they are both UK residents. Due to our licensing restrictions we are only allowed to serve alcohol to non-members with a substantial meal. During the week (Monday-Thursday) we are quite happy for non-members to come down for soft drinks as long as we are able to get them in, but we are so busy at the weekends that you can only gain entrance as a non-member if you are coming in for dinner. The Club has an interesting, imaginative menu created by our head chef Jean Pierre. All dishes are freshly prepared with fish dishes being his speciality. Welsh rack of Lamb and Steak are also served as well as a good selection of vegetarian dishes, a chicken special and pasta dish of the day. We have an extensive international wine and beer menu. We have a Music Charge (which goes straight to the band) In order to obtain membership you need to pick up one of our "Membership Information" sheets when you visit the Club (please note these can only be obtained from the Club premises themselves, they cannot be posted or e-mailed).

United Kingdom
Great music, food and beer with a great atmosphere. A unique sanctuary in the heart of the historic dockyard of Southampton. Great live music every week... for FREE! - Blues, Country, Blue Grass, Rock n Roll, Acoustic, Roots, Jazz & Rockabilly. The present owner and Landlord Stewart Cross took over The Platform Tavern in June 1997 taking it from a run-down quiet maritime themed establishment that had seen better days to a thriving and ambient Traditional English Pub it is today. The décor today has an ethnic feel with walls adorned with masks, relics & pictures many of which Stewart has acquired from his travels abroad to make this pub truly homely & unique. Over the years The Platform has built up a good reputation for its live music bringing some of the best acts from far away lands to local hero’s playing an array of original music with the bulk being Blues & Roots acts. Always free entry & always of the highest quality. We brew our own cask ale on site at The Dancing Man Brewery. We had a idea one day, we wanted to make beers that we liked, and we knew everyone else would like but just weren't being served up in our pub or anywhere else. So we set about creating the Dancing Man Brewery to change all of that. The food produced is of restaurant standard with local produce a priority. The menu is varied from Pub classics to more exotic fare. The Platform has become renowned for its short-crust Desperate Dan style pies, Fresh fish & Sunday lunches. Mon, Tues & Wed; food is served from 12pm to 3pm and then 6pm to 9pm – Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun; food is served 12pm to 9pm.
