The Beaucrees, an original sixties pop group, is playing at Chingford Assembly Hall on Friday 18 December 2015 following its 50th reunion sell-out gig there last year. It is a 1960s Christmas gig and you can book your £10 ticket direct from The Beaucrees website. But what is the story behind the Beaucrees who shared a dressing room with The Beatles and clashed with Morecambe and Wise? The guitarist, Mick Kain, shares his story about The Beatles. He explained that as teenagers, they used to rehearse at the local cinema, Walthamstow Granada, on a Saturday morning and that, one morning, the dressing room looked like a bomb had hit it. The Midnight Cowboy’s interest in music and performing began in his teenage years when he joined a college band playing rhythm guitar and singing lead vocals. From this initial introduction to pop he continued his progression into music getting involved in Folk, Rock and Country & Western. Midnight Cowboy offers a feature one hour set of Elvis Presley No.1 hits as well as performing a wide variety of 60's hits for the rest of the performance. Artistes covered include such favourites as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Cliff Richard, Bobby Darin, Roy Orbison, The Everley Brothers, and many others. An established performer The Midnight Cowboy has also appeared live in venues in Jackson, Nashville, Phoenix, & Las Vegas USA
