Worthing's pub of the year 2009 & 2014. In the heart of the town centre just 200 yards north of Marks & Spencer. A traditional Alehouse since 1814, formally two fishermens cottages offering a wide range of beers, fine wines, spirits and 5 Cask Marque approved ales. Homecooked locally sourced food, prepared & served daily. Our food is freshly prepared daily where lunch is served from noon until 2.30 pm on weekdays & until 3.00pm at weekends. Dinner is served on weekday evenings - Mon-thurs from 6-00 pm until 8-30 pm. As well as being a traditional pub offering great homecooked food, here at the Hare and Hounds we have regular entertainment for all tastes from our established jazz nights to pub quizzes to Live bands on Saturday nights! Jazz has been in operation at the Hare & Hounds for around 16 years. The success & continuation of the jazz is very much reliant on the income that the pub receives from customers. The pub itself pays for the performers & as whilst there is no admission charge, the amount that is generated in bar takings is very much part of the equation.
