Chesham Theatre Company presents "The Titfield Thunderbolt"
The Titfield Thunderbolt: can the villagers of Titfield save their steam train?
The latest production is based on the classic Ealing comedy, “The Titfield Thunderbolt”, which starred the great Stanley Holloway and harkens back to the simpler days of steam trains and the closure of small branch lines by Dr Beeching. Set in the fifties, it tells the tale of the villagers of Titfield and their plans to buy and run the line themselves or risk losing their commute to work and market, vying for business against Harry Crump, the owner of the local bus service.
The Titfield Thunderbolt
by TEB Clarke & Directed by Trevor Pilling
Dates 9th to 11th November @ The Elgiva Theatre, St Mary’s Way, Chesham
Tickets £13.50-£15.50 elgiva.com
