Built in 1765, the pub has a rich history and continues to be a focal point for village community life. Michael and Tim took over The Swan, their local pub, in March 2012 and their success was quickly recognised by the Marston's Pub of the Year Awards 2013, winning the National Best Newcomer Award and then going on to pick up the top accolade, Marston's Pub of the Year 2013 - Grand Final Winner.

We serve delicious home made food, prepared by our excellent team of chefs, seven days a week. We have five hand pulled real ales, including regular guest ales - all kept in top condition. We have been independelty assessed by Cask Marque and received a 100% pass mark. We are proud to have been independently selected to feature in the 2014 CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

In addition to the charming rooms on the ground floor, the historic function room upstairs is available for parties, conferences, meetings, sing songs and general merrymaking.

Upstairs at The Swan is described as a 'must-visit venue'* for actors, performers and audiences alike. We bring top quality, professional theatre companies to the pub as well as the very best musicians and singers from the world of jazz, opera and folk. Free Wi-fi is available to customers. There is a pub piano, so you're welcome to come and play. We run a very popular 'book exchange', so feel free to browse the bookshelves and help yourselves to any book that takes your fancy. If you have a book you'd like to share with others, you can leave it here. Every Thursday we have a popular pub quiz which is open to everyone. £1 per person to enter.
