We are THE best live music venue in Watford and have been bringing live music to you since 2001, while remaining a traditional pub. We welcome all ages until 8pm daily, after which time it is over-18’s only. We have a large air-conditioned open bar with capacity for over 250 people and enclosed beer garden with lighting and heating. Whether you are coming for lunch, looking for a great evening of live music, just popping in for a drink or looking for a good pint of real ale (all our pumps carry the Cask Marque) we are the place for you, and our very friendly & accommodating staff will do all they can to help. We were voted “BEST BAR NONE” bar/venue in Watford in 2008 & 2009, and have also been voted “BEST LIVE MUSIC VENUE IN THE SOUTH EAST” by the industry. We pride ourselves on bringing a wide variety of live music to suit everyone’s taste, everything from young local talent to big name acts, top tribute and covers bands, and even traditional jazz. We have live music most nights, but Friday nights we have one of our resident DJ’s “on the decks” for you to dance the night away. We also provide music on special occasions including some themed nights, e.g. for New Year’s Eve, and on Sundays and Bank Holidays, if the weather is nice, we will try to put the band in the garden so you can still enjoy the sunshine. We offer an extensive range of drinks, including a wide choice of lagers, real ale (all carrying cask mark) and a great selection of wine, as well as non-alcoholic drinks including soft drinks and hot beverages. We change our “guest” ales every 6 weeks. Our kitchen is open weekdays from 12-3pm and offers a great range of homemade dishes. We also have daily “Specials”. We offer great value roast dinners on Sunday’s from 12-3:45pm including vegetarian options and if you don’t fancy a roast we do a nice selection of lighter lunch options. Kid’s portions are also available.
