We are proud to be a destination restaurant for locals and tourists alike as well as hosting regular live music nights. The Miners are the forest 'Pub Of The Year' 2010 and Restaurant Of the Year 2011. We stopped entering the awards and now enjoy sponsoring the Awards annually. We have been voted the ‘most loved forest business’ by locals and received a 'Highly Recommended' award from the industry Pub Of The Year Awards. In 2013 we received a 5 star excellence award from Trip Advisor.

Most Saturday nights will have some live music entertainment normally from 9.30 / 10pm after restaurant service. We are usually busy with local musos and visitors alike in a friendly welcoming atmosphere. Free entry. Come join the party!

Enjoy an evening of foot tapping ‘Swing & Gypsy Jazz’, evoking the Paris jazz scene of the 1930’s and 1940’s. The Resident Club Django Band welcome guest soloists throughout the year. We are at the Miners Arms on the first Monday of every month, performances start at 8pm and admission is £5. Our events will be on the Miners Arms Facebook page.

The Miners Arms ‘Open Mic Nights’ having running every Friday fortnight since 2005 and has been described (not by us I might add!) as legendary. Folk club meets on Sunday evenings on the first and third Sundays of every month. doors open 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
Available for your party: The Miners enjoys 2 beer gardens, a substantial patio area as well as ‘The Carriage Room’ available for private functions (seating up to 70) and a skittle alley.
