With its low ceilings, oak beams and inglenook fireplace, The White Horse is a picture-perfect 16th Century ale house. It’s a pub famed for a fabulous collection of beers – making it the ideal place for a social drink with friends, or just to curl up in a cosy corner with a pint… Our small courtyard garden provides a peaceful setting for alfresco drinks in the summer sun. But it’s also a great spot for our home-grown ingredients to flourish; we grow our own fresh herbs in pots for the kitchen. A little quirky character only adds to the charm of the pub. Antique pews, discarded by a local church, have been restored and used for seating – and we’ve plenty more local history lining the walls in the way of photos and maps. Love live music? Folk Club meets here every 2nd and 4th Tuesday, while Schrodinger Strings - a rock harps and guitar band - often play on a Saturday evening. Love sport too?
