The Duke of Wellington is a grand and beautiful pub built in 1935 and has previously been a bowling green, a staging post for the North and is now home of Flaming Grill. The pub was named following the battle of Waterloo in June 1815 and we still home original artifacts in the pub.

Flaming Grill is a community pub offering a wide range of grill items including steaks and chicken dishes served on our famous sizzling skillets. We also offer range of traditional pub favorites and a selection of snacks.

We are set in the area of Kenton, a short distance from Gosforth High Street and 2 miles from the city centre. We have a large south facing patio and a function room that is available for functions & meetings from 10 to 120
