The Boot and Shoe is a large old coaching Inn on the A638 (Wakefield to Doncaster bus route) near Ackworth roundabout.
Landlord Les Thompson has built up the pubs' enviable reputation as a top venue for bands to play. The air-conditioned concert "Blue Room" has a good sized stage, lighting and excellent in house PA system. The stage door for bands is to the rear of the pub loading straight on to the stage. Seating and a dance floor also make this an ideal room to hire for family events.
