One of the most popular venues in Newcastle, and the pub where staff from other pubs go for a drink, it boasts a traditional long bar, Victorian stained glass domes, elaborately tiled floors, and lots and lots (and lots) of history.

Currently, at the Bodega, there are 8 real ale pumps offering 2 permanent ales, 2 permanent breweries and 4 guest pumps. The permanents are Durham Brewery 'Magus' (3.8%) & Big Lamp 'Prince Bishop Ale' (4.8%); the 2 permanent breweries are Oakham Ales (Peterborough) & Fyne Ales (Scotland). There is also a dedicated real ale keg line, which is Anarchy Brew Co. 'CitraStar' (4.1%).
